Having left the banking industry after 33 years of executive management positions, Jerry moved to St. George Island from Atlanta in 1995. As a former President and CEO of an Atlanta bank, Jerry has used his banking, finance and investment skills to become one of the top producers in real estate in this area, ranking consistently in the top 1% among his peers in dollar volume. In 2004, Jerry was the Number 1 top producing agent in residential commissions in Prudential Real Estate's Southern Region covering 8 states. In that year he received the Pinnacle Award for being Number 8 in individual residential volume of all Prudential agents in America, some 58,000 agents. He has been in the top 3 spot for highest volume sold for the past 9 years in the Realtors Association of Franklin and Gulf Counties. Jerry is a graduate of East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C and is an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR). He was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Jerry is married to Karen Thompson and they reside on the bay in St. George Plantation. They have 3 grown daughters and 2 grandsons. Jerry has served on the board of directors of a number of profit and non-profit organizations, including a local bank board, Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce, Tourists Development Council, the Realtors Association of Franklin and Southern Gulf Counties and other organizations. Jerry and Karen both serve in leadership positions in their church on St. George Island.
Jerry loves to fish the bay or the Gulf of Mexico, play golf and hunt. He and Karen also love to travel.
