Dennis and Dana Dunnigan started Shimmering Sands Realty in July, 1994 having entered the real estate field a few years earlier. The company began with one office in the Thomas Drive area of Panama City Beach. By 1999, the Dunnigan's acquired another firm and opened a second location on the west end of Panama City Beach and that same year also affiliated with Prudential Real Estate. Being affiliated with an international brand that has the strength and power of the Rock immediately helped to grow the Shimmering Sands company locally with strong brand awareness, broker to broker networking and new relocation business.
Dana and Dennis now have three main residential offices throughout the county along with a commercial division located in the heart of Panama City on 23rd Street next door to another of our residential offices. They also have an on site sales office at Venture Out Resort and have on site sales offices from time to time when working with other new development projects. Prudential Shimmering Sands Realty has grown to become the largest real estate firm in Bay County, Florida along with its approximate 110 Realtors. They also operate a large property management firm working with over 500 owners and tenants on an ongoing basis. Dennis and Dana believe strongly in honesty and ethics and are very blessed with the opportunity to own and run this business and work with the many talented and professional people they are associated with. They have a strong management team and administrative staff, and are grateful for them and all the wonderful Realtors associated with Prudential Shimmering Sands Realty.
Dana was licensed in 1991 and earned her broker’s license in 1993. Dennis was first licensed in 1992 and received his broker’s license in 2006.
